Available for adoption – Coco

**Available for adoption – currently in Gauteng, but can relocate**

Coco is a friendly loving dog. He loves playing with hard toys – he chews them and also rope type toys. He throws them in the air and jumps And Loves to play with a ball. He also loves bananas, blue berries as a snack – we call it a sweety. When we say – “kos kos” they know its time to eat. Coco loves cuddles and to play with kids. At night he cries to have a last cuddle before bed. My kids will climb in his bed and lie with him and cuddle him till he falls asleep.
They jump on our trampoline regularly. Playful, alert , love to chase shadows from butterflies and birds.
He does not like cats/rabbits/livestock ect – he think its his prey. He is friendly to other dogs – except Frenchies, Pugs, Boston Terrier, Jack Russel and Pekingese. We would be careful in placing him in a home with any Braccie breeds. He listens to “Nee”. Had basic training can sit, lie, roll, gives paw ect. He sleeps inside, loves a coach although not allowed. He does not sleep on the bed unless you allow him to. He will need a fairly secure yard as he can jump should the opportunity present itself. He needs an active and adventurous family, who will include him in their daily activities.

Reserved – Shelby and Bentley

**Available for adoption – Gauteng, but can relocate, as long as they can stay together. The are very bonded.**
What, you may ask, is better than one Vizsla? Two Vizslas! Double the love, double the fun, double the snuggles and double the delight.

Shelby:
Shelby is a 2.5 year old girl who is in need of her forever home. She is a well socialised girl and gets along with dogs of all shapes and sizes. She even had a few interactions with cats, but she is scared of them and keeps her distance. Shelby is fantastic with children and will happily share their beds. She can be a bit of a stress princess, but makes up for it with her loving and playful nature. She is a velcro dog, as Vizslas are. Shelby can always be found where her humans are. She even has a party trick, which is to open doors. She is not scared of thunder, but had no exposure to gun shots or fireworks. Shelby is fully housetrained and sleeps indoors near her humans. All dogs adopted from GSP Rescue SA have to sleep indoors.

Bentley:
Bentley is a 2.5 year old girl who is in need of her forever home. She is a well socialised girl and gets along with dogs of all shapes and sizes. She is quite chilled around cats. Bentley is fantastic with children and all other humans. She is an easy going, chilled dog, but can be playful. She is a velcro dog, as Vizslas are. Shelby can always be found where her humans are. She even has a party trick, which is to open doors. She is not scared of thunder, but had no exposure to gun shots or fireworks. Shelby is fully housetrained and sleeps indoors near her humans. Available for adoption – Rusty

**Available for adoption – Gauteng homes only**

Rusty is an older boy, between 6 to 8 years old. He loves to be in the company of people and would like to join his family on all kinds of wild adventures. He would appreciate going for walks and will reward you with lots of love. Being an older gentleman, he is not as insane as a younger GSP. Meet and greets are required, he can be picky about the company he keeps. No cats or small critters.

Available for adoption – Tikka

**Available for adoption – currently in Gauteng, but can relocate**

Young Tikka is an 18 month old delight. She is very playful and will need a male friend to match her playfulness and energy. She is smart and very affectionate. Tikka loves sharing your bed for all night cuddles and will most definitely keep you warm in the Winter. She loves all humans and may need to be taught not to jump up. She needs to be placed in a home with no dogs, or a with one male dog who will not be intimidated by her. She needs to be separated from other dogs at feeding times. Tikka lived with cats, but we cannot guarantee that she will accept all cats. A home with older children, early teens and older, will be preferred

Available for adoption – Saartjie

**Available for adoption – currently in Gauteng, but can relocate**

Let us introduce two year, eight month old Saartjie. This girl is boisterous, spontaneous and full of mischief, as any young GSP can be. Saartjie is very affectionate and friendly toward people and will make an amazing companion for a family who can provide the stimulation and exercise that she needs. She wants to be part of the family and accompany them on all sorts of adventures. She can run out the gate when given the chance, so this needs to be worked on. Loud noises and thunder does not bother her at all. Saartjie does not like cats, had no exposure to livestock and farm animals or small dogs. My observation is that we should not place her where she may not be tempted to help herself to some lamb or chicken. Saartjie should be placed in a home with a large breed male dog of similar energy levels as hers.

Available for adoption – Chocolate

**Available for adoption – currently in Gauteng, but can relocate to the perfect home**

Chocolate – 5 years

Poor Chocolate is still sitting in the kennels, waiting for her home. Her lovely pups are doing so well all over the country, living their best lives. Chocolate needs some basic obedience training and does not like small dogs, but everything else about her is pure sweetness! Chocolate was surrendered from a less than optimal situation and deserves a happy ever after home where she will get the attention and adventures she deserves. This girl has never had the attention and one-on-one handling she deserves to become her best self. Please share this post so that her forever home finds her.

Available for adoption – Gunner

Gunner – 2 years, currently in Gauteng

Gunner has been with us for a good few months now. He is one of those rare GSPS who needs to choose his own canine family. Gunner can be quite protective of his people, so we recommend an experienced home and preferably a home with no other dogs OR meet and greet with an experienced GSP owner. However, he has a really playful and goofy side once he gets to know his handler and other dogs. If you know your way around GSPs and can handle a lot of dog, please come and meet Gunner and give this boy a chance.

PLEASE DO NOT PRIVATE MESSAGE US

If you are interested pleas contact us on [email protected] with any questions or to request an adoption application form. You can also complete the adoption form via our website if you prefer: https://gsprescue.org.za/?page_id=137
